About the Author
Ralph H. Tromp Sr. is a 72-year-old single, retired, salesperson. He is described as an energetic, enthusiastic, and caring individual. During his life insurance sales career, he achieved the coveted Million Dollar Roundtable seven times! His avocation -- writing -- began many years ago and besides these children’s stories, he has written hundreds of poems. He has had several articles published and has appeared numerous times in various speaking engagements. Ralph is a winner and these stories attest to his ability to reach children at their level.
Ralph is a spiritual person and currently regularly practices his faith at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona. He is a born again Christian and these children’s stories amply show his concern for his fellows.
Ralph has five children and six grandchildren. He credits two of his grandchildren, Rachel and Rebecca, with the inspiration he needed to write these childrens books. To children everywhere, but especially to Rachel and Rebecca, these stories are dedicated

Book One – The Room
Rachel and her environments begin this series. Rachel is a precocious young lady but yet too young to be called a lady. She is only 12 years old. We are introduced to her family and friends and the peculiar furnishings of her living quarters. The story tells of a typical day in her life and conjures a life of wishes fulfilled and promises kept. Rachel can readily be recognized and assimilated by most adventuresome “young ladies” her age. The Room is a charming introduction to the Rachel series. You will want to read more.

Book Two – Rachel’s First Job
Everyone remembers their first job. This is true with Rachel. A neighbor, Mr. Ahdoenoe, hires her for a couple hours each weekend and the experience has all the makings of an exciting thriller. Her imagination runs amok but she comes out on top absorbing the American dream of grandeur and wealth with her first paycheck. Her talents are put to the test and she surpasses the demands of the job very well. Rachel’s First Job will inspire us all and enliven our hopes.

Book Three – Rachel’s Sea Going Adventure
Commanding a ship of your own? Why not? That is every child’s dream. Rachel’s industry allows her to do just that. She constructs, from her own plans, a seaworthy vessel and then puts it to the test taking along as her crew her younger sister and neighbor friend. It is a voyage in which several mishaps are encountered along the way. They remarkably overcome them all. Rachel’s Sea Going Adventure is a must read for all the adventuresome.
